In Depth Bio Oil Review

I don’t know about you but I get truly fed up with clicking on web pages to read a review and find it is not a review at all.  So, for all of those who want a reliable Bio Oil Review, then you have most certainly arrived at the right place.  I notice countless solutions, especially in the Health and Beauty Market, which are quite highly priced and in truth are simply products that are over hyped and over promoted.  I am a bit of a logic freak which means I buy nothing which researching the life and soul out of it.  I guess I just really like value for my hard earned money.

I heard both my daughters and quite a few friends talking about Bio Oil and how good it was. That instantaneously set me off on the path of research.  Now don’t get me wrong, I was not disagreeing with them, but I just like to hear what the other buyers and customers say about the product before I make any comments.

Review Structure

I do all my reviews in a very structured way which I hope makes sense to the reader.  I go and look at the product, make a note of what it claims to do, look at the ingredients, the price, the packaging and the sale’s pitch.  Once I understand all of that, then it is time to get the customer feedback of their opinions on the product. To begin then, it certainly is a popular product and is sold extensively both offline in drug stores, pharmacies and chemists and online at many websites.  Let’s first look at what Bio Oil actually is as stated by the manufacturer.

Precisely what is Bio Oil?

Bio-Oil is a specialist skincare product that “can help” to improve the appearance of:

• Ageing
• Dehydrated Skin

The first thing of note here is that it claims to assist but not remove and that is important in the evaluation of the product.  Nevertheless it claims to help across a rather wide variety of skin conditions, so let’s have a look at the ingredients.

• Rosemary Oil
• Chamomile Oil
• Vitamin A
• Vitamin E
• PurCellin Oil

According to the manufaturer this PurCellin oil makes the oil easier to apply to the skin as it reduces the thickness of the overall mixture. They further state it is non-greasy, suited for all ages, and devoid of preservatives.

Bio Oil Reviews

So now we know what Bio Oil claims to be, what the ingredients are and about its apparent simplicity of use.

I first checked with my friends to get their feedback and the best place to start was with my two daughters who both used it for different reasons.  My eldest daughter was pregnant about four months ago and she had this oil recommended to her by a friend.  She loved the stuff to be honest and proudly states she hasn’t the slightest sign of a stretch mark.  My other daughter uses it for overall skin softness and loves it as well, but she says it is too greasy to use as a face moisturiser.  So that was my first two reviews and I also asked two other friends.  Both of them use as an oil for the bath and swear it leaves their skin softer that it has ever been.  The sceptic in me needed more convincing as I do hate to spend money on rubbish.  Forgive me if I sound like a scrooge.

I always check at Amazon as they are huge and people leave honest and often brutal feedback, but it is a very good guide if you are ever going to buy something.  When I went there I found it was a best selling product, so it supported the fact that this was a popular product.  I read all 338 reviews as that is what I do.

Even a sceptic like me is convinced by figures like this.  Basically three out of every four people rate it a 5 star which is the highest you can get on Amazon.  That is pretty much good enough for me along with the information I already have from friends and family.  I do think it important to add one thing though, there was a solid consistent theme throughout these many reviews and that was it required regular application and up to three months to get the best results.  It is not a quick fix but most certainly does assist or help with all of the above mentioned skin conditions.

Its one area of weakness in the customer’s eyes appeared to be the treatment of old acne scars and the opinion there was exactly split into two camps.  Both camps said it improved the skin which is good, however 50% said it did not remove the scarring and 50% said it did. Having read all of the comments it is honestly too difficult without further information to explain this, but nevertheless those were the findings.
